This neglected olive tree had a hard prune recently after it finished fruiting (it’s a mystery variety that fruits in late winter*). I pruned it to an open vase shape to increase sunlight and airflow throughout the canopy. The increased sun access helps improve yields and more airflow prevents possible diseases. I’ll probably take a few more Little branches out, but have left some extras in there while I have a think. Anyone else have to “sleep on it” when making tree pruning decisions😁? *Some
