The death of a 9-year-old girl whose father initially said she was missing and possibly abducted is being investigated amid what New York State Police call inconsistencies in the father's account.
Hours after an Amber Alert was issued for Melina Frattolin on July 20, the 9-year-old was found dead in Ticonderoga, N.Y. Police said 'there is no indication that an abduction occurred' after finding 'inconsistencies' in her father's account of events.

New York State Police have charged a Canadian father with murdering his 9-year-old daughter and disposing of her body in a wooded area.
