Amid preparations for his NBA Summer League debut, Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg offered condolences for the families impacted by the Texas floods.
"It took a couple months to really understand, process, feel it, live it — and feel the pain," the coach said of Duke's Final Four loss.
The Dallas Mavericks were surprisingly able to land the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Despite only having a 1.8 percent chance of landing Cooper Flagg, the Mavericks won the pick and did select the Duke Blue Devils standout.
Cooper Flagg is one of the most well-rounded prospects to enter the NBA in recent memory. His competitve drive started pea picking in Maine.
Young players in grades 1-6 can join Cooper and Ace Flagg at a two-day basketball camp at UMaine Orono on Aug. 9 and 10.
