Despite throwing it back with their alternate uniforms in 2025, the Commanders are not going back to their old team name, the Redskins. The "Super Bowl Era" threads are merely an added touch for the franchise in 2025 that will highlight the history of the team.

The Washington Commanders are utilizing their past in looking towards the future. On Wednesday, the franchise unveiled “Super Bowl Era” throwback uniforms that they’ll wear in three games this season.
