Trump sued the Wall Street Journal over its reporting on a letter he labelled as "FAKE" and claimed its story is "false, malicious, and defamatory."

The lawsuit comes a day after the newspaper published a story reporting on President Trump's ties to wealthy financier Jeffrey Epstein. The president is seeking at least $10 billion in damages.

Trump had threatened to force Murdoch to "testify in my lawsuit against him and his 'pile of garbage' newspaper".
