The Orioles’ game against the Mets at Camden Yards on Wednesday has been postponed because of rain, leading to a Thursday doubleheader.
Aside from a couple of minor league rehab stints, Alvarez has been the Mets’ everyday catcher since 2023, when he led all National League catchers with 25 home runs. This season, after a rough start behind the plate and in the batter’s box, New York thought it was a good time for a reset.
