WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he's “not happy” with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, saying Moscow's ongoing war in Ukraine is “killing a lot of people” on both sides. “I’m not happy with him, I can tell you that much right now. This is killing a lot of people,” Trump said of Putin during a meeting with his Cabinet.

President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he had approved sending U.S. defensive weapons to Ukraine and was considering additional sanctions on Moscow, underscoring his frustration with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the growing death toll in Russia's war with Ukraine.

Trump criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin as he took questions on the Russia-Ukraine war, saying he was "very unhappy" with Moscow's latest attacks on Kyiv.

The Kremlin said on Tuesday that it was shocked by the sudden death of Russia's former transport minister Roman Starovoit, news of which broke hours after President Vladimir Putin had sacked him.
