The White House is defending the National Weather Service and accusing some Democrats of playing politics in the wake of devastating floods in Texas.

More than 100 people are dead across six Texas counties after historic flash flooding devastated the Hill Country on the Fourth of July. In response, Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is calling for the state to fund flood warning sirens along the Guadalupe River.
