A 17-year-old has been arrested in the killing of Sunshine Stewart, whose body was discovered hours after she went paddleboarding on a wooded pond near coastal Maine.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the death of Sunshine Stewart, a paddleboarder who was found dead in Maine earlier this month.

48-year-old Sunshine Stewart of Tenants Harbor vanished July 2 from Union, Maine after going paddle boarding in Crawford Pond. Her remains were discovered the next day. “I am floored with elation and grief,” friend Rachel Blemenberg, who had been staying with Stewart at the time, told News Center Maine after the arrest.
