Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers requested a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders after failing to reach an agreement on a contract extension, a person with knowledge of the situation told the Associated Press on Monday.

Amari Cooper returns to the Raiders on a one-year deal after six years away. Originally drafted by the team in 2015, Cooper brings veteran experience and five 1,000-yard seasons. His comeback follows trade rumors around Jakobi Meyers and could shake up the Raiders’ wide receiver depth chart.

Cooper, 31, did not have a banner 2024 season. He spent his first six games with the Cleveland Browns, catching just 24 passes for 250 yards and two scores before being traded to the Buffalo Bills alongside a 2025 sixth-round draft pick for a 2025 third-rounder and a 2026 seventh-rounder.
