The judges considering requests by Donald Trump’s Department of Justice to release the grand jury transcripts relating to sex trafficking cases against Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell have asked for additional materials.
Shortly after Mr. Blanche posted his invitation, the House Oversight Committee voted to subpoena Ms. Maxwell. The motion was introduced by Representative Tim Burchett, Republican of Tennessee, who has pushed for the Trump administration to release more of its material tied to Mr. Epstein’s case.
Some Republicans are teaming up with Democrats to try to override the wishes of House Speaker Mike Johnson, and force a House vote on releasing more files in the Jeffrey Epstein case.
