Dozens of people were killed in Gaza, officials said Saturday, as protestors in Israel demand an end to the war in the Palestinian enclave and release of the remaining Hamas-held hostages.

The Israeli military said its troops carried out a strike in the area of Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis and that it would conduct an investigation into the incident.

Mariam Dagga, 33, a visual journalist, freelanced for the Associated Press during the war, as well as other news outlets. The AP said in a statement that it was shocked and saddened to learn of Dagga's death,
