Astronomer CEO Andy Byron replaced after kiss cam scandal, HR Head Kristin Cabot still on payroll
A stronomer is under fire after a viral video showed its then-CEO Andy Byron in an intimate moment with Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot at a Coldplay concert in Boston. While Byron resigned following public backlash, Cabot remains employed, at least for now.
Kristin Cabot, the HR executive caught canoodling with Astronomer CEO Andy Byron at a Coldplay concert, is married to the CEO of a different company -- and bought a house with him less than five months before the scandal hit,
Before being caught in the arms of married Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, the company’s HR chief, Kristin Cabot, boasted that she “wins trust” of CEOs. “An influential leader and fearless change agent, I lead by example and win trust with employees of all levels, from CEOs to managers to assistants,” she wrote via her LinkedIn bio.
Kristin Cabot, Astronomer's HR head, remains suspended after a viral kiss with ex-CEO Andy Byron. Experts say any harassment claim would likely fail, given the public display appeared consensual.
Byron's resignation was officially acknowledged in a follow-up statement from Astronomer: "As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.”
