The Tigers mounted a comeback against the Mariners in the day's opening game, keeping their season alive and forcing an ALDS Game 5 on Friday night. The Cubs staved off their own elimination with a Game 3 win over the rival Brewers, and the Phillies blew out the Dodgers to avoid an NLDS sweep.
Alejandro Kirk hit a three-run home run, Andres Gimenez hit a two-run dinger and Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Addison Barger and George Springer contributed solo shots. It was a poor showing from George Kirby after his gem in Game 5 of the ALDS. In the end, the Blue Jays put the Mariners in a spot where they have to respond in Game 4 on Thursday.

And if you're curious, one pitcher in history has ever had a three-homer game in the regular season. It was Jim Tobin of the 1942 Braves. He went 3 for 4 with three homers and four RBI. He threw a complete game, too. He also allowed five runs (three earned), though.
