A former star at Imhotep Charter, Edwards went undrafted last summer but quickly showed his value to the Sixers. His new deal includes two guaranteed seasons.

Prior to signing with the 76ers, Edwards spent his lone collegiate season at Kentucky, averaging 8.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 32 games. He also led Philadelphia’s Imhotep Charter High School to consecutive Pennsylvania State titles in his junior and senior seasons from 2021-23.

The Philadelphia 76ers were able to keep a young piece in tow on a 3-year deal in an effort to continue adding a strong supporting cast around Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey. Justin Edwards, an undrafted guard out of Kentucky, did a lot of great things in the 2024-25 season earning him a new deal.
