LAS VEGAS ( FOX5) — NFL insiders report the Las Vegas Raiders are signing wide receiver Amari Cooper to a one-year contract. Cooper was selected fourth overall by the Raiders in 2025. He was later traded to Dallas mid-season in 2018 and then played for the Browns. He got traded to the Buffalo Bills mid-season last year.

On Monday, the Las Vegas Raiders decided it was too quiet in the NFL world and that there hadn’t been enough drama surrounding them as of late, which is out of the norm. So, news dropped that starting receiver Jakobi Meyers had requested a trade after he and the Raiders couldn’t agree on an extension. Then, the Raiders signed Amari Cooper.

Ahead of the 2018 trade deadline, then-Raiders head coach and de facto GM Jon Gruden traded Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a first-round pick, which turned into safety Johnathan Abram.
