Texas A&M Aggies head coach Mike Elko confirmed some very disappointing news on the injury status of receiver Cyrus Allen, who suffered an arm injury in Saturday's 38-3 win over New Mexico State in College Station.

The positive surprise of the night was tight end Theo Melin Öhrström, who led the Aggies with five receptions for a career 111 yards, stretching the field while showing impressive athleticism. If this isn't a fluke and a sign of Öhrström's improvement, A&M's passing offense may have found another weapon.

The Aggies come out of the bye week with home matchups against New Mexico State and No. 5 Texas sandwiching the final road trip of the season to Auburn. The expanded playoff has allowed for greater opportunity for teams to reach their postseason dreams, and Elko is confident A&M can be in the party if it finishes with a 10-2 mark.
