The Philadelphia Eagles reportedly are releasing rookie quarterback Kyle McCord, according to NFL reporter Jordan Schultz.

McCord had turned himself into an intriguing NFL quarterback in his lone season at Syracuse. When he transferred in from Ohio State, there were questions of whether he'd just ridden the coattails of his talented receviers. But then at SU, McCord threw for 4,779 yard and 34 touchdowns, which are both single-season records for the Orange.
