Astronomer's new CEO is speaking out about the Coldplay concert kiss cam controversy, admitting the viral video has raised brand awareness for the tech firm.

"The spotlight has been unusual and surreal for our team and, while I would never have wished for it to happen like this, Astronomer is now a household name,” said cofounder Pete DeJoy.

Pete DeJoy, the company’s cofounder, is taking over for Andy Byron as Astronomer looks into his alleged affair that was captured on the Jumbotron at a Coldplay concert this week. DeJoy previously served as Astronomer’s Chief Product Officer, the company said.
